Secretory IgA (sIgA) is the predominant antibody in mucosal secretions and serves as the primary immune defence of mucosal surfaces. Reduced sIgA levels are associated with increased susceptibility to upper respiratory tract infections (URTI), making it a key marker for immune monitoring in athletes and health settings.
